大众偏好的民主及其背后的自由主义在美国宪法上并不具有合法性,共和主义才是美国宪法的原旨。共和主义偏好精英的理性,而不是大众的情绪化思维。共和主义是对自由民主原则的一种节制或限定。民主具有内在的自我增长性,国会、总统权能的上升颠覆了美国宪法的共和主义原则。自由民主主义对政治社会的过度解构,激发了共和主义的复兴运动。美国宪法共和主义的内在特点值得中国政治体制改革思考借鉴。

Democracy and liberalism can not answer for legitimacy theory according to original intent of American constitution. Republicanism is the original intent of American constitution. Republicanism pays more attention to logos of elite but not passion of mass. Republicanism is a kind of limitation on principle of liberalism democracy. There is increasing inflation tendency in democracy. Inflation of Power of Parliament and president topples down republicanism in American constitution. Excess inflation of liberalism democracy leads to republicanism revival movement. Republicanism in American constitution is worth borrowing by us in the Chinese political system reform because of its character.
