New Approach of Determining Flow Direction in Flat Region

摘要 针对利用数字高程模型(DEM)处理平坦区域流向存在的问题,提出一种新的处理方法,认为DEM中的平坦区域应从地形和水流两方面考虑,从而将平坦区域分为山丘型和河滩型两种。结果表明,该方法行之有效。 The processing for the flat region in the digital elevation model (DEM) is affecting the extraction of drainage network. At present many methods have been proposed to process this kind of terrain flow, but the result is not ideal. A new approach was proposed after reviewing and analyzing the questions existing in these methods. This new thought that the flat region in DEM should be classified and processed,and the flat region was processed both in terrain and in flow, studied which kind of factors played a major role in different condition, thus the flat region was divided into hilly-type flat region and the sandbank flat region, then it was classified and processed.
