手印是犯罪现场中常见的物证之一。但大多数案件现场中的手印因受各种因素的影响,手印常常产生变形、残缺不全,影响检验鉴定工作,难以作出科学的结论。研究残缺手印特征的检验方法,最大限度地挖掘手印的证据潜力,提高残缺手印检验的认定率,具有实际意义。本文论述了残缺手印形成的原因;残缺手印特征的寻找和确定;用真实案例说明了残缺手印在实际案件中的作用。

The fingerprint is one of the common physical evidences of a crime scene. However, fingerprints at the scene in most cases are often deformed and incomplete due to a variety of factors, resulting in the difficulty to make a scientific conclusion in the work of identification tests. It has practical significance to study identification methods of incomplete fingerprint characteristics, to maximize the evidence potential of fingerprint, to improve the identification rate of incomplete fingerprint. This article discusses the cause of incomplete fingerprints formation ; the search and identification of incomplete fingerprint characteristics ; the use of incomplete fingerprint in actual case.
