温室气体排放，尤其是二氧化碳气。体排放，被认为是导致全球变暖的罪魁祸首。而在过去10年里，全球变暖问题日益严峻。虽然至今有些科学家仍在怀疑两者关系，但全球多数政治家都一致认为，应通过减少温室气体排放，尤其是二氧化碳气体的排放来控制全球变暖问题。
Aware of the political and public attention being paid to climate change at this time and recognizing that it is a topic which will no go away by itself, for quite some time now,BIMCO has been increasing its focus on this issue.Contrary to many land-based industries,shipping has not yet been regulated,but this is likely to be a short respite.This article will provide some background information on Market Based Instruments for CO2 as well as an update on where we are now.
