Epstein-Barr virus and breast cancer

乳腺癌的发病是一个多因素长期作用、逐步发展的过程，已知的高危因素，如雌激素和生长激素过高，女性初潮过早、绝经过晚、绝经后肥胖、不恰当的激素治疗及个体的基因易感性等都在乳腺癌的发病中起重要作用。近年的研究发现主要有三种病毒：EB病毒（EBV）、人类乳头瘤状病毒（HPV）、小鼠乳腺肿瘤病毒（MMTV）可能在乳腺癌的发病过程中也起重要作用。

As an increasing threat of women＇s health worldwide, breast cancer has many wellestablished risk factors, including early-age menarche, late-age menopause,post menopausal obesity,improper use of hormone therapy and genetic susceptibility. However, these risk factors only account for about half of the incidence and mortality of breast cancer. Recent studies provide many clues that three primary hormone responsive virus： Epstein-Barr virus（EBV）, human papilloma viruses （HPV） and mouse mammary tumor virus （MMTV） may act as important agents of human breast cancer.
