The general description of Bensteel No.3 sinter machine （360 m^2） project was introduced in this paper. As many new processes and new technologies assisted with scientific production management were adopted for the sinter machine in terms of energy conservation and consumption reduction, good technical and economical indexes have been obtained since the sinter machine was put into production, and process energy consumption and production cost have also been increasingly reduced.
