Objective: To explore the practical effect of information support on the coronary angiography patients. Method: 86 patients who received coronary angiography from May to July 2008 were divided into two groups randomly, with 44 in the experimenting group and 42 in the comparison group. The comparison group received regular preoperative instruction whereas the experimenting group received full preoperative and postoperative information support. The anxiety level and complications of both groups were observed. Result: The comparison of anxiety level between the two groups before operation showed statistical significance ( P 〈 0.05 ) ; and the comparison of complications between the two groups also showed statistical significance ( P 〈 0.05 ) except for the local hematoma. Conclusion: Information support could reduce the anxiety level of coronary angiography patients and their complications.
