Failure Analysis and Treatment for Lub-oil System in 9E Gas Turbine

The major failures of the lubrication-oil system in a 9E gas turbine are described, including deteriorated oil quality, low oil pressure high oil temperature and oil leakage in the pipeline and so on. The reasons of the failures are mainly due to the quick ageing of lub-oil, caused by it＇s high temperature oxidation or leakage in some equipment. Therefore, during operation, oil quality monitoring should be strengthened, wear status of the oil pump outlet check valve, as well as the pipeline leakage should be inspected periodically and the filter elements should be replaced timely.
