摘要
水意象在伊丽莎白.毕晓普的诗作中频频出现并不断重复,这既是其诗歌创作的重要特色之一,也折射出诗人的主体意识和心理机制。弗洛伊德精神分析学中相关概念为从创作者心理机制的角度探究水意象的动机和内涵提供了依据。水意象在熟悉与诡异两极间的运动轨迹和内在张力指向诗人被压抑的童年创伤记忆、及其在想象空间中对家的渴望与困惑。毕晓普诗歌中丰富充盈的水意象,为诗人提供了在现实中无法获得的身份感和延续感,却难以弥补其生活与记忆中的永恒缺憾。
In a variety of forms, water imagery is surprisingly pervasive in Elizabeth Bishop' s poetry. Its recurrent appearance not only constitutes a prominent stylistic feature but also gestures toward the poet' s subjectivity and psychological mechanism. Freud' s psychoanalytic concepts provide a vantage point from which the movement of water imagery between the frequencies of the heimlieh and the unheimlich can be examined in connection with the poet' s repressing childhood memory. The extensive presence of water imagery, home and continued identity in an imagined space, though emboding and fulfilling her desire for a can hardly compensate real life and memory.
