AbstractIn market economy, interest rate is of vital importance either in theory or practice, because interest rate, botha link connecting monetary and physical economy and a medium between macro-economy and micro-economy,bears on a nation's saving, investment, monetary and demand, and the change in production and national income, holds sway over a country's economy and is the most important economic lever ——a foremost public concern. And the basis of interest rate theory and practice is interest theory. How well to understand interest rate ,therefore, is not only directly tied in with the formulation of interest policies,but also pertains to the operation of the whole national economy. In view of this, I have made an attempt to explore in this paper a new interest theory, to provide a trustworthy theoretical guide to the institution of China's interest rate policy and the realization of China's effective economic growth.
