The complex adaptive system （CAS） of the complexity theory is the theoretical basis of the implementation of knowledge management. With the development of complexity theory, it gives an enormous impetus to the application of knowledge management. Due to the further study of knowledge management and technological advancement, the complexity theory needs to be enriched in order to be adjusted to new concepts, environment and technology.
