美国"深层意象"派的领袖罗伯特.勃莱非常推崇中国的道家思想。他曾经译过老子《道德经》的部分篇章,并把道家思想融入到自己的诗歌当中去。勃莱对道家思想如此推崇,究其原因,主要是出于对美国后工业文明的抗议。

Robert Bly, the leader of American Deep Image Movement, loves Taoism very much. He has translated some chapters of Tao Te Ching and infused Taoism into his own poetry. The reason of his admiration of Taoism is that he uses it to oppose the American Post-Industrial Civilization.
