为世用敏于笔——试论王充的应用写作思想

On Wangchong's Thought of Applied Writing

王充的《论衡》在提出的"五文"说时将"上书奏记"即应用文放在重要地位,表现出丰富的应用写作思想,屡次将公文与文学对举显示其"文"、"笔"的分辨意识。王充认为应用文应广为世用,有辨别真伪、劝善惩恶的道德伦理价值;主张应用写作遵循有用的原则,要求写作者要有社会责任感,保持应用写作文质的统一,但本质的真与形式的美冲突时往往先质而后文;应用写作应针对社会现实,面向客观生活,应用文应切中时弊、补察时政。

Wangchong attached great importance to the applied writing when he brought forward 'five wen' theory by comparing Wen(literature) to Bi(applied writing).He advocated that the applied writing should be used wildly,and its writers strengthen their sense of responsibility by combining content with form so that its practical objectives could be achieved to distinguish the truth from the falsity,the kindness from the evil in society.
