Universities in Medieval Europe: Enlightenment and Reference to Modern Higher Education

通过对欧洲中世纪大学产生和发展的历史及特征的认识,分析中世纪大学带给我们的启示:在大学建立一些行业协会和学术组织,以利于进行学术研究;打破大学的封闭,破除"家长式"的垄断,为学术研究和学术自由提供一个健康的环境;学习中世纪大学师生们顽强的斗争精神和灵活的斗争策略,同时还不断地提升学习者自身的素质和水平。

By reviewing of the generating and developing history and characteristics of universities in Medieval Europe, this thesis analyzes the following enlightenments： to establish some vocational associations and academic organizations in order to carry on academic researches; to break conservations in universities and ＂paternalistic＂ monopoly, providing a healthy environment for academic researches and academic freedom; to learn the strong struggling spirits and flexible strategies which teachers and students of Medieval universities possessed; meanwhile, to develop learners＇ self--qualities and skills constantly.
