Developmental History of Fujian Ancient Oceanic Culture

在漫长的洪荒年代,勤劳勇敢的闽族先民依靠富饶的海洋资源,艰苦卓绝地开创出独具福建地域特色的海洋文化。经过先秦发展,从秦汉到隋唐五代,伴随中原百姓南迁入闽,大陆文化与海洋文化进一步融合。降至宋元,福建古代海洋文化得到全面发展。明清时期中国封建社会开始走向衰弱,面向海洋的福建地区中外文化交流、生活方式、社会生活出现新的变化,呈现出一条福建古代海洋文化历史发展的轨迹:源于先秦,成于汉晋,兴于隋唐五代,繁荣于宋朝,发展于元代,盛极而衰于明清。

Through the long and hard times, depending on the rich oceanic resources, hard -working and brave ancient people of Min created their oceanic culture which had unique characteristics of Fujian. Fujian oceanic culture started in the Pre-Qin Dynasty, and it integrated itself with the land culture as Central Plains people moved southward into Min in the dynasties of Qin, Han, Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties. It achieved its all - round development in the dynasties of Yuan and Song. China＇ s feudal society started to decline during the dynasties of Ming and Qing. New changes took place in the Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges, the life style and the social life of Fujian people. The historical development of Fujian ancient oceanic culture can be summed up as follows： it originated in the Pre - Qin Dynasty, came into being in the dynasties of Han and Jin, prospered in the dynasties of Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties, peaked in the Song Dynasty, developed in the Yuan Dynasty and declined in the dynasties of Ming and Qing.
