婚嫁作为一项重大的民俗活动,蕴含了极其丰富的吉祥文化内涵。借助一些例子,从物品、数字、声色、仪式及祝词贺语等层面分析了中西婚俗中吉祥文化内涵的具体表现形式,并对这些表现形式所起的作用进行了探讨,从而让人们对体现和蕴含着民族文化的婚俗有更多的了解和研究。

Marriage as a great folk - custom contains abundant auspicious cultural connotations. To have a good knowledge of the auspicious cultural connotations of Chinese and British marriage, the manifestations such as the articles, the numbers, the sounds, the colors, the rites and the congratulating words etc. used on the wedding custom are illustrated and compared in this essay. Furthermore, the functions of the manifestations are probed. The purpose is that we can have a better understanding and further study of the wedding custom which contains and embodies the national culture.
