苏轼是一位乐天旷达的名士,他的思想杂糅了儒释道三家,他的处世态度,文学作品的内容和风格都在很大程度上受到佛老思想的影响。《前赤壁赋》亦是这种思想影响下的一篇冠绝千古的佳作。

Su Shi, well-known for his broad-minded and carefree attitudes towards life, is a versatile scholar, whose thought combines Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism together. Buddhism and Taoism, in a great extent, exert a strong influence on his philosophy of life and the contents and genre of his literary works. His classic masterpiece, ＂Ode to Red Cliffs, Part Ⅰ＂, is composed under such an influence （i. e. Buddhism and Taoism） as well.
