Democratic Problems in the Personalized Information Service

信息科技的发展使得人们接收利用信息的效率不断被提高,个人化信息服务就是其中的重要代表。然而,与个人化信息服务相伴生的是一系列社会问题的萌芽。人与人之间信息的相对隔绝,共同话语的缺失,极端主义的酝酿,这些都是新的信息传播方式带来的潜在的民主问题。

The development of information technology allows people to receive and use information more effectively as represented by the personalized information service. But there exist a series of problems with this new technology, such as the relative separation of information among people, lack of common interest, and seeds of extremism brought by the new technology.
