City Public Libraries'Services for Science and Technology Innovation:A Brief Review of Home and Abroad Experiences for Dongguan's Development

为科技创新服务是公共图书馆的一项重要职能.介绍了纽约、上海、深圳等国内外先进城市图书馆的科技创新服务实践,指出东莞公共图书馆面临着为科技创新服务的紧迫性,并提出了东莞公共图书馆如何为科技创新服务的建议.

Providing services for science and technology innovation is one of important functions of a public library. This paper reviews some facts about library＇s services for science and technology innovation in advanced cities at home and abroad, such as New York, Shanghai and Shenzhen etc. It points out that it is a pressing necessity for public libraries in Dongguan to provide services for science and technology innovation. In the end, some suggestions for improvements are offered.
