The Concept and Implementation Modalities on Wang Guowei’s "Freedom" Connotation

"自由"是王国维美学体系中一重要范畴,王国维在其"境界"理论中追问了自由的内涵、分析了人类生命活动何以不自由的因素,进而为自由寻找出路。他认为,人类对自由的追求,只有通过审美活动、特别是在艺术的审美境界中把功利的实践活动转化为非功利的审美活动,生命活动才可能自由。

＂Freedom＂ is an important category of Wang Guowei aesthetics systems. Wang Guowei studied the meaning of freedom in his aesthetics realm, analysed the factors why the activities of human life did not be free, thus looked for a way to freedom. In his View, the human pursuit to freedom could be realized only through aesthetic activities, especially in the aesthetics realm, utilitarian practice activities were transformed into non-utilitarian aesthetic ones.
