论刘熙语言观及其与荀子“约定俗成”论的关系

On Liu Xi's Language View and Its Relation to "Yue Ding Su Cheng" Theory of Xun Zi

在探究刘熙《释名》中学术观点的基础上,对刘熙的语言观予以了积极的评价。认为刘熙的"名之于实,各有义类"的学术观点与荀子的"约定俗成"论并无本质上的对立,只是对语词的不同发展阶段所作出的客观认识。

The academic view of Liu Xi in his Shi Ming is discussed. The language theory of Liu Xi is evaluated positively. Based on the research result, it is pointed out that there is no nature opposition between language view of ＂Named in it, each with its own type of justice＂ of Liu Xi and the theory of ＂Yue Ding Su Cheng＂ of Xun Zi. The only difference is the objective recognizes presented in the different development stage of language.
