Reflections on Management of Public Elective Courses in Newly-established Universities

公共选修课对于优化、完善学生的知识结构,提高学生的综合素质和创新能力,培养能满足和适应社会需求的人才具有极其重要作用。但目前新建本科院校在公共选修课的教学和管理运行中还存在许多问题。

Public elective courses play a very important role in optimizing and perfecting student knowledge structure, enhancing student comprehensive quality and creative ability and training students into talents who shall meet the social requirements. However, there exist problems in the teaching and management of such courses in the newly - established universities. The paper puts forward ways and means to solve the problems.
