摘要
由于参与罗什的译经活动,僧肇在思维方法上完成了从玄向佛的转变,即从玄学的本体思维转向了具有非本体论特征的中观般若思维,包括中道思想、无分别观念、二谛理论、遮诠法和空的观念等。不仅如此,僧肇还用中国式的语言较为准确地表达了般若中观学的思想观念,对印度佛教的本真精神和原始义理做了一次"还原"的工作,从而为佛教中国化奠定了基础。
Owing to his participation in Kumarajiva' s translation of Buddhism sutras, SENG Chao accomplished a transformation in thinking method from metaphysics to Buddhism, i.e. , from ontological thinking of metaphysics into non-ontological Madhyamika' s thinking cognition, theory of two truths, negative thinking which involved thoughts of mathyamapratipad, concept of nonmethod and concept of afmya, etc. Besides, SENG Chao used Chinese language to express accurately the idea of mathyamapratipad. This was a revivification of primeval Indian Buddhism and its essential significance, and hence, laid a basis of sinification of Buddhism.
