Urban living space is the most important feature of social modernization and the urbanization process is the only way toward modernization. Sports, in the process of urbanization in China, has made positive contributions： greatly improving the urban lifestyle, the industrial structure and the employment market, safeguarding the physical and mental health of the urban residents, and being a powerful aid in the construction of harmonious society of socialism.
