少数民族地区的和谐稳定是我国和谐稳定的重要组成部分,从某种意义上讲,没有少数民族地区的和谐稳定就没有全国的和谐稳定。科学发展观是统领少数民族地区的和谐稳定的指导方针,而社会主义法制和党的民族宗教政策是少数民族地区和谐稳定的根本保障,把这三者有机结合起来,就一定能实现少数民族地区的和谐稳定与发展。
