The feasibility was discussed of whether the inland river ships can be engaged in construction at sea. According to the contrast analysis of the similarity and difference of requirements in the corresponding rules and regulations for inland river ships and the sea-going ships alternatively, the authors pointed out that necessary corrective measures should be made when a inland river ship need to be engaged in construction at sea under certain conditions.
