建设“国家示范性民办高校” 提升民办高校整体水平——全国优质民办高校建设专题研讨会综述

民办高等教育已经成为我国高等教育体系的重要组成部分,但总体而言,民办高校尚处于弱势地位。通过实施"国家示范性民办高校"建设计划,建设一批民办高校强校,可以带动民办高校整体办学水平的提升,促进我国民办高校的可持续发展。今年2月11日在杭州召开的全国优质民办高校建设专题研讨会围绕该主题作了讨论和呼吁。"国家示范性民办高校"建设不仅需要政府加大对民办高校的扶持,更需要民办高校的自律和自强。政府的扶持加上民办高校自身的努力,民办高等教育一定能够迎来另一个春天。

Non-governmental higher education has become an important part of our higher educational system, but, on the whole, they are still in a weaker position. The implementation of the plan for the construction of ＂national demonstrative non-governmental institutions of higher learning＂ to make a batch of powerful schools among non-governmental institutions of higher learning may enhance the overall level of non-governmental institutions of higher learning and promote the sustainable development of our non- governmental institutions of higher learning. On Feb. 11 of this year, the symposium for construction of high quality non-govern- mental institutions of higher learning was held in Hangzhou, discussing the topic and making an appeal for it. The construction of ＂national demonstrative non-governmental institutions of higher learning＂ needs not only the intensified support of the government, but the self-discipline and self-support of non-governmental institutions of higher learning themselves. The support of the government, coupled with the efforts of non-governmental institutions of higher learning themselves, will definitely enable nongovernmental higher education to have another spring.
