翻译的语用动态适应观——以《麦可白》第一幕为个案

Dynamic Adaptable Translation: A Case Study of Act One in Macbeth

维索尔伦的语用学综观下的适应理论认为,语言使用是在不同意识程度下为适应交际需要而不断做出选择的过程,这为语用学提供了一个全面而科学的研究视角。将语用适应论运用于莎士比亚悲剧之一《麦可白》第一幕的翻译研究中,试图为翻译研究建立一个统一而连贯的理论框架,使诸多有争议的问题,比如直译还是意译,归化还是异化,在这个框架内都能得到比较满意的解释。

This paper makes a tentative study of the essence of translation from the perspective of the dynamic pragmatic adaptation by Verschueren, which holds that the use of language is a consecutive choice process for the adaptation to the communication with different degrees of salience. Accordingly, this paper applies the adaptation theory to a case study of Act One in Macbeth, one of Shakespeare＇ s tragedies, attempting to construct a united and consecutive theoretical framework in order to get a relatively satisfactory explanation of maliy controverscial ploblems such as literal translation or free translation and domestication translation or foreignization translation.
