This paper introduced the genetically engineered plant oil product laurate canola.Test soaps made from laurate canola foamed more than similarly made coconut oil-based soaps and exhibited better or equal mildness. Canola-based soaps retain the scent of essential oils used better than tallow and are more gentle to those with sensitive skin.Soap based on laurate canola processed readily into bars.Canola has resulted in a domestic source of oil that has potential application in soaps duto its high laurate content.
