Research progress of SMYD3 in the process of carcinogenesis

摘要 SMYD3是近几年新发现的一种组蛋白甲基转移酶。研究表明,SMYD3与恶性肿瘤的发生发展有着密切的关系,它能够调控癌基因等许多与肿瘤发生发展相关基因的表达,并增强细胞的增殖和迁移能力。抑制SMYD3的表达可以起到阻碍肿瘤细胞生长、迁移并诱导凋亡的作用,因此SMYD3日益成为人们关注的焦点。本文就SMYD3的结构特征、作用机理及其与肿瘤发生发展的关系进行综述。 SMYD3 is a novel histone methyltransferase. Previous studies have revealed that SMYD3 plays an important role in the process of carcinogenesis. It activates the transcription of a set of downstream genes, which have been shown to have effects on cell viability, adhesion, migration and metastasis, and silencing SMYD3 can inhibit the growth and migration of cancer cells and induce apoptosis. Therefore, SMYD3 may be a novel target for cancer therapy. This review summarizes the research progress of SMYD3 in the process of carcinogenesis.
