Improved fingerprint image enhancement algorithm based on orientation field and frequency field

摘要 在LINHong算法的基础之上,提出了一种新型改进算法。该算法利用区域直方图规范化预处理纹理,梯度法计算方向场,采用紧支径向基函数(CSRBF)对频率场进行插值估计,增加了可恢复区域。实验结果表明,提出的算法取得了良好的增强效果,对经典LINHong算法有较大改进。 An improved algorithm is presented based on the LINhong's algorithm. It will preprocess the texture using local-normalization, estimate orientation field using gradient method and interpolate the unestablished points in frequency fields using compactly supported radial basis functions (CSRBF) to increase the recoverable areas. The experimental results show that the method gains the good effect of fingerprint image enhancement and has a big improvement of LINHong' s algorithm.
