The theory of RG is a very important and effective method of modern physics. Its concepts and essence are expounded with the help of the 'geometrical phase change'. The relation between the critical point and the unstable fixed point is exposed by a comparison with the logistic mapping. The Method of RG is applied to the research on the phase change and to some fields of sociology.
