A Review on the Post-earthquake Salvage Project of Cultural Relics in Sichuan

"5·12"大地震对四川的文化遗产造成了巨大的破坏,包括世界文化遗产在内的83处全国重点文物保护单位、174处省级文物保护单位和814处市、县级文物保护单位均受到不同程度损毁。过去的一年中,坚强的四川文博人忍着失去家园的痛苦,在第一时间奋战在抢险救灾、抢救文化遗产的第一线。迅速调查、了解灾情。编制灾后文物抢救保护专项规划,制定相关管理办法,邀请国内一流的文物保护工程甲级资质单位对四川受灾的文化遗产进行对口技术援助。并迅速启动了"世界文化遗产都江堰古建筑群抢救保护工程""羌族碉楼与村寨抢救保护工程"等抢险工程。抢救平武报恩寺等一批急需保护的珍贵文化遗产,开展民族地区传统工匠培训,开展"地震文物"征集和部分博物馆新馆建设前期工作。最大限度地发挥文化遗产的社会功能,惠及人民群众,增强人民重建家园的信心。

Great Sichuan Earthquake on the 12th of May caused enormous cultural heritage destruction.83 National Heritage Conservation Sites including World Cultural Heritage sites,174 provincial-level Cultural Relics Preservation Sites and 814 county-level Cultural Relics Preservation Sites were damaged to varying degrees. Over the past year,the brave worker of Cultural heritage had been suffering the sorrow of losing their homes. They fought bravely in the earthquake resistance disaster relief and devoted themselves to the rescue of cultural heritage at the first line in time By carrying oat surveys immediately and examining the disaster conditions, they designed the special program of rescuing and protecting post-disaster cultural relics,developed relevant management methods,and invited the first-class domestic cultural relics preservation project unit of A-grade to provide Sichuan impaired cultural heritage with professional technical aid.'The project to rescue and protect the Dujiangyan ancient building complex of World Cultural Heritage'and'The project to rescue and protect Qiang's bunker and village'and other emergency projects were launched the first time after earthquake. A number of valuable cultural relics in urgent need of protection at Pingwu Baoen Temple were rescued. The training programs for traditional artisans in the ethnic minority area were carried out,the collecting of earthquake cultural relics was conducted and the prior work of the construction of new museums was launched as well.What is desired is to maximize the social functions of Cultural Heritage to benefit local people and strengthen people's confidence to rebuild their hometown.
