Europium toluenesulfonate and neodymium toluenesulfonate were prepared for the first time. These salts have high solubility in organic solvent and can be dehydrated easily. The cyclic voltammograms of Pt electrode in p(CH_3C_6H_4SO_4)_3EuCoCl_2(n-Bu)4BF_4DMSO and p(CH_3C_6H_4SO_4)3NdCoCl_2(n-Bu)4BF_4DMF were measured respectively ,which indicate the rare earthcobalt can be electrodeposited. The films of Eu-Co and Nd-Co were obtained by potentiostatic electrolyzing.
