摘要
目的研究利用小波变换方式进行图像的递进传输.方法对图像实行小波变换,然后传送变换后的小波系数.在接收端可根据需要对接收到的系数随时进行反变换,从而得到原图像的逐级近似.结果仅需传输少量小波系数便可重建一幅质量较好的图像,这样使得接收者可以以最小的代价对图像作出识别以决定是否需要继续传输.结论小波变换方式具有起始高效压缩信息的能力,而且对前面发送的所有信息均可全面利用,可以视接收端用户的不同需求发送不同比特率的图像.
Aim\ To design a progressive transmission scheme based on standard wavelet transform Methods Wavelet transform coefficients were used to get a multiscale representation of image The coefficients were transferred progressively to the receiver end The reverse transform could be performed anytime according to the receiver′s needs Results It was shown that it needed only very small number of coefficients to get an image of high quality, even the coefficients were transferred in natural order The receiver could recognize the image with little expense and would continue or stop the transmission according to the situation Conclusion Wavelet transform coefficients are partially localized in both space and frequency, and form a multiscale representation of image, these properties make wavelet transform particularly adaptable to progresive transmission
