提出了大型带式输送机张紧装置驱动功率的计算方法。该方法从输送机启动时的动力波传输出发，通过启动张力波传播时间的分析，得到了启动时张紧装置的收带量及收带平均速度，由此得到输送机张紧装置的功率，为大型输送机的张紧装置设计提供了理论基础.

This paper advances the method of calculating the power oftakeup in a belt conveyor. The method begins from analyzingthe starting wave of belt conveyor, through analyzing thewave transmitting time,we get the tensioning length and average speed of belt takeup,and then derive the power determination formula.It establishes the theoretical base for takeupdesign.
