The Danger of University Legitimacy:the Reason of University Governance

现代社会对大学的自我合法性证明有两个核心要求:社会效能和学术自由,文章从社会效能和学术自由这两个方面的要求探究了大学治理产生的原因,并在此基础上得出大学合法性问题是一个由来已久的问题,大学合法性问题不仅体现在其因环境不同的变化性,还体现在其因遗传的不变性,大学治理是现代大学诉求其合法性的时代产物等结论。

Modern society has two key requirements for university's self-ligitmacy claims,namely,social efficiency and academic freedom.The paper explores the reason of university governance from the two perspectives of social efficiency and academic freedom,on the basis of which it concludes that university legitimacy is a problem of long-standing,that university legitimacy is reglected not only in the variation of different circumstances but in the stability of its tradition,and that university governance is time's product of modern universities appealing to its legitimacy.
