图形协处理器SM501在视频系统中的应用

摘要 以一个包括SM501的嵌入式视频系统为实例,根据系统要求设计了该芯片的硬件电路,并讨论了图形协处理器SM501的图形显示和硬件加速功能,给出了详细的电路原理图和SM501的驱动程序。实验结果表明,多媒体图形协处理器通过和高性能的嵌入处理器相结合,可以达到同个人电脑水平相当的强大显示功能。对嵌入式系统中的图形显示应用设计有一定借鉴意义。 Based on a practical design of embedded video system, after system analysis, designed the hardware circuit of SM501 (Mobile Multimedia Companion Chip),and discussed the graphics display and hardware acceleration functions of this graphics coprocessor, design electric circuit and driver program are present. Finally test the chip performance. After testing, with the combination of graphics coprocessor and high performance embedded processor, the embedded system can have the abilities as various as PC. This is useful for the design of graphics display.
