认知视角下的英语层级反义词识解

The Construal of English Gradable Antonyms from the Perspective of Cognitive Linguistics

一些形容词具有程度性质,即为可划等级的词,由该类的形容词所形成的反义词被称之为层级反义词,其程度能在标尺上体现出来。本文拟以传统语法对层级反义词的解读为基点,对其进行识解并讨论层级反义词对的原级的标记性和无标记性及比较级所存在的公允和偏袒,以探寻这些现象的认知理据。

Gradable antonyms are mainly concerned with pairs of opposite adjectives varying in degrees, which can be shown in scales. Based on the explanation of traditional grammar on this issue, this paper aims to do research on markedness and unmarkedness of positive degree and impartiality and committedness of comparative degree of pairs of antonyms and tries to explore their cognitive motivation.
