徐特立与辛亥革命

XU Te-li and Xinhai Revolution

徐特立一生以天下事为己任，积极探求救国救民的道路。他支持过维新变法，参加过保路运动，投身过辛亥革命，并用马克思历史唯物主义的观点和方法，对辛亥革命进行了比较深入的研究和深刻的评价。在充分肯定辛亥革命伟大历史意义的同时，徐特立指出，资产阶级革命派领导的这场革命未能成功的主要原因是不重视党的自身建设、不重视农民问题、不重视政权建设以及不重视革命理论建设。他认为，中国共产党人应当吸取辛亥革命的经验教训，继承辛亥革命的精神，完成辛亥革命未完成的反帝反封建的任务。

XU Te-li took the whole country into his responsibility, and actively explored the road of salvaging the country. He supported the Weixin Reforms, joined Baolu Movement and Xinhai Revolution. He made a rather in-depth study and evaluation of Xinhai Revolution by adopting the views and methods of Marx＇s historical materialism. While fully affirming the great historical significance of Xinhai Revolution, at the same time, XU Te-li noted that the main reasons for the failure of Xinhai revolution led by the bourgeois were that they attached no importance to the party＇s self-construction, peasants＇ difficulties, the building of political power and revolutionary theories. In his view, the Chinese Communists should learn from the experiences and lessons of Xinhai Revolution, inherit the spirit of Xinhai Revolution and complete unfinished tasks against imperialism and feudalism.
