摘要
在我国,文化背景知识灌输是英语教学重要内容之一。文章从社会语言学和文化语言学理论视角,文化背景知识与高中英语阅读教学的关系进行分析,结合教学实践,提出了在高中英语阅读中实施文化背景知识教学的四种有效途径,阐述在了解和理解中西文化差异、英语国家重要节日对文化的影响、重大历史人物及社会名流对英语文化的影响的意义以及课堂内外教学活动开展的方法。
Cultural background knowledge teaching is one key element in EFL classroom in China. Four approaches are put forward on the basis of the relations between cultural background knowledge and senior high school English reading. Some advantages can be found especially those of the impact to English culture from cultural difference analysis, from major holidays and from famous historical elites. Suggestions are made to improve cuhural background knowledge teaching both in and out of class.
