前列腺癌治疗包括根治性手术、外放疗和组织间近距离放射治疗。近距离放射治疗由于局部剂量高和副作用轻而易于被患者接受。放射性粒子发射能量相对小的射线持续地对肿瘤细胞起作用,达到彻底杀伤肿瘤细胞的治疗效果。近距离放射治疗前列腺癌的适应证是前列腺癌低危组的病例,其长期疗效与根治手术相似。对前列腺癌中危的患者,可以作放射性粒子植入配合外照射及内分泌治疗,也取得相当好的疗效。副作用主要是尿路、直肠症状,多为轻度和自限性。

The treatments of prostate cancer include radical prostatectomy, external beam radiotherapy and brachytherapy. The brachytherapy is easy to be received by patients, because of its higher local dose and light side effects. Radioactive particle can continuous affect the tumor by releasing ray with relative minor energy, and then kill the tumor cells thoroughly. Brachytherapy is suitable for low-risk type patients with prostate cancer. Patients with middle risk will be treated by Radioactive Seeds implantation and endocrine therapy. The common complications are urethral and rectal symptoms, which were mild for most cases.
