明代唐宋派代表作家归有光,忠厚本分,性格内向,薄于交游,但他是一位卓有影响的文学家、教育家,又是一位清官,其交游者不下数百人。限于资料,仅考索其师友门人、官吏同僚、亲戚家人、作品人物等交游者二百余人,绝大多数是名不见经传的小人物。因而具有一定的认识价值,且从其交游更能了解其为人和品格。

Gui Youguang was honest, introverted and not good at making friends. However he was an outstanding writer, educator and upright government official, and he had more two handred friends.
