In light of the meta-narrative of British colonial exploration, this article is an attempt to reveal and expound the political metaphor of"Love Tour","Culture Tour", and"Heart Tour" in Oscar and Lucinda. It argues that Britain's 19th century exploration on the Australian continent not only brought about a tragic love story between the novel's male and female protagonists, but also the confrontations between Christian culture and Aboriginal culture. That Peter Carey allows the oppressed and marginalized discourse to be heard shows his strong sense of social responsibility and historical mission.
