Right inoculation method is crucial for the quality of grey cast iron product. Stream inoculation is accepted the best. A new automatic stream inoculation device was introduced in this paper. It ensured that the inoculation agent is well-distributed in metal flow without machine jamming in the course of inoculation and the quantity of agent is strictlly controlled, which effectively avoids inoculation fade and improves casting quality.
