摘要
英语教学不仅是语言范畴的实践,更是涉及文化领域的实践活动。文化意蕴是英语教学中不可缺少的内涵元素,它传递彼此的社会背景、地域文化、宗教信仰和传统习俗。然而,学生的文化信息缺失在很大程度上影响了英语学习。努力增强文化意识、多方位渗透文化信息,应成为英语教学的重要任务。
English teaching is the practice activity in the cultural scope as well as in the linguistic field. Cultural significance, which can convey the different social backgrounds, regional cultures, religious beliefs and traditional customs, is an indispensable intensive factor in English teaching. However, students have got an unsatisfactory progress in the subject mostly because of their poor crossing culture, so improving the cultural consciousness and permeating the cultural information in various channels should be a task of top priority in English teaching.
