演讲语篇中说话者的元语用意识与元语用选择

Speaker's Meta-pragmatic Awareness and Meta-pragmatic Choice in a Speech

根据Verschueren提出的语言顺应理论,选用美国HACC大学的美籍华裔心理学教授高永明的演讲为语料具体地分析演讲者在演讲语篇中所表现出的元语用意识与元语用选择。本文认为演讲者的元语用意识对于表达意图,突显主题,使演讲富有感召力和说服力发挥着重要的作用。

Based on Verschueren＇s theory, that is, language has the characteristics of variability, negotiability and adaptability, this paper analyzes the speaker＇s meta-pragmatic awareness and meta-pragmatic choice in an American Chinese professor Yongming Gao＇s commencement speech in American Harrisburg Area Community College. The author holds that a speaker＇s meta-pragmatic awareness plays an important role in making the speech much more interesting and persuasive and also making the main idea of a speech much more clear and logical.
