汪华,人称汪公大帝,一直受到徽州百姓的敬爱崇拜。但是在《新安志》问世前,正史记载语焉不详,存有矛盾,并骂其为"贼"。罗愿深受徽州百姓敬爱崇拜汪华的感染,在《新安志》中全面深入研究汪华,为新安之神汪华立传,为主动降唐的"王之大节"辩护,并深刻揭示新安之神汪华即靖民之神、安定和谐之神。

Wang Hua, also called the king ancestor, has won great respect from Huizhou people ,but before the publication of Annals of Xin＇an, the history books had not given an elaborate record of Wang Hua, and even regarded him as a ＂traitor＂. Affected by peopie＇s great respect for Wang Hua, Luo Yuan made a thorough study of Wang Hua in his Annals of Xin＇an, making biography for him as God of Xin＇an,defending him for his integrity, and revealing the fact that Wang Hua, God of Xin＇an, is God of Peace.
