With its origin in ballads, the Zhuzhi poem （Zhu Zhi Ci）, a transitional product between ballad and poetry, serves an important material for folklore study owning to its historical and artistic value. The Zhuzhi poems in Ning Dan Zhai Anthology of Poem, a collection of verses composed between 1943 to1948 mainly conceming the Southern Anhui before and after the success of the Anti-Japanese War, add vivid descriptions to the official history, by providing a faithful account of the region＇s customs and special events which cannot be found in it during the period.
