Core Competitiveness Construction of Guangzhou University City on the Basis of Value Chain Theory

如何培育和提升广州大学城核心竞争力是其获得持续发展的关键。从价值链的观点分析,构建广州大学城核心竞争力的策略可概括为从其四大价值活动环节着手:加快高等教育大众化的进程;优化高等教育的层次结构与学科结构;运用区位优势,促进产学研一体化;加大政府扶持力度,提高高等教育国际化。

How to nurture and enhance the core competitiveness of Guangzhou University City is the key to getting the success of its sustainable development. This paper proposes, on the value chain perspective, that the construction of strategy for core competitiveness of Guangzhou University City be summarized as four valuable activities/links, which are as follows： to speed up the process of popularization of higher education, to optimize the structure and academic level of higher education, to make use of its regional advantages, to promote its production-learning-research integration, to put more efforts and win supports from government, and to enhance the internationalization of higher education.
